vocations

many parts of one body

Whether it is to holy orders, the religious life or some service to the people of God, every Christian is called to witness to the Good News of the gospel and to fulfil Gods vocation for their lives. Vocations come in many forms, all are important and all are to be nurtured - at All Saints' they are.

We support a range of pastoral and practical ministries, which offers anyone the time and space to listen and then act to Gods calling.

Lay Ministry

Coffee Morning companions

Opening the church is so important in a community where isolation is widespread. Our monthly coffee morning brings together a variety of people from the community as a place to meet, connect and have tea/cake.

Altar Servers

Servers assist the clergy in the rituals of the liturgy, whether at Mass, the occasional offices or other worship. Their ministry is in Gods service at the altar, playing their part to offer up worship which is dignified and Christ-centred.

Food parcel distribution

We currently support ten local families with a food parcel every two weeks, and the help in collecting and distributing this is vital.

Our interns programme is a one year scheme which supports potential ordinands in the discernment of their vocation whilst gaining experience of parochial ministry. See parishinterns.org for details of our 2022/23 programme and when applications will be open.

The Vocations Network is an initiative of The Society and Additional Curates Society to support priestly vocations of Catholic candidates in the Church of England. It offers support and information about the process of selection and discernment as well as opportunity to explore your calling. See vocationsnetwork.org
